Water Damage Restoration Services

The first thing that needs to be done after flooding is water removal, after which the structure must be thoroughly desaturated to prevent water damage or mold growth. Often homeowners will remove standing water themselves, but neglect to have the area professionally dried because the surfaces appear to be "dry to the touch". But behind the scenes; the insulation, sill plates, carpet padding, metal channel, and other building materials can retain moisture resulting in long term structural water damage.

Water Extraction and Dry Down.

In the absence of proper drying equipment, it is impossible to draw out moisture before it begins cultivating mold and causing further structural damage. Increased moisture in the air, after an indoor flood, can cause "secondary" damage to drywall, decorative wood, books, artwork and other items; thorough drying and dehumidification are vital parts of the water damage restoration process.

After water damage occurs, there is a 48 hour time frame in which items may be restored. Restoration of these items may become difficult or even potentially impossible if emergency response is delayed. Contacting the right water damage restoration company is critical for the reparation of your property and belongings.

Anew has the experience and the know how, to promptly assist you in your time of need. We use the latest and greatest in drying technology and equipment to provide the best service to our customers.

It is important to react within 48 hours of water damage to salvage as much of your property as possible.

Digital Meters & Moisture Mapping

Digital meters are some of the most valuable tools used on restoration projects. These handheld devices help map the moisture in materials that one cannot see; such as insulation, drywall, wood, carpet padding and concrete. Since the ideal moisture content varies not only from state to state, county to county, but also from material to material many of today's moisture meters allow one to preset moisture levels for a wide range of materials. The moment this level is exceeded an alarm goes off.

Using meters for moisture mapping not only helps track the drying process of materials but with the air in the structure, providing invaluable information about when to re-position drying equipment or when it is time to remove the equipment all together.
